SCAO MISSION
To advance the health, welfare and responsible care of animals, shelter them from cruelty and neglect, and promote humane awareness and compassion through education and training.
To be a RESOURCE for the community, providing information, education and outreach services for the health and welfare of animals.
To provide SPAY & NEUTER programs, including assistance for low-income homes. Decreasing the unwanted pet population is an important step to animal welfare in Stevens County.
To RAISE FUNDS to build an animal rescue facility that will provide a safe environment for unwanted, abused, or stray animals and facilitate the adoption of healthy animals to qualified homes.
To ASSIST law enforcement in cruelty investigations, rescuing, and monitoring of animals in need, and prosecution in order to protect animals from abuse.
